IF THE KIDS RECORDS is a new label based in Berlin, focusing on electronic sounds from around the globe. We call it HeartCore, but it might as well be Salsa or Techno.

The first release is a split EP with two troublemakers from the South – Mimi The Hedgehog hailing from Toulouse and KungFused out of Barcelona´s dark underground. Although navigating in different electronic waters, both complement each other perfectly on “Waiting The Summer” EP, spanning their sounds from ambiental electronica to straight to the floor techno and ironic drum & bass.

Up-and-coming Mimi The Hedgehog produces a versatile mixture of garage, techno and downtempo electronica, which seem to come right out of Berlins bass bins.

KungFused is DJ Magma´s new project to open up more space for experimentation. She has been touring heavily through the Drum & Bass scenes in Spain, Italy, Belgium and Czech Republic and takes her production work a step further, to show her skills also at downtempo electronica and trip hop, based on heavy sampling, most often with a typically ironic touch.
